Source-checked October 3, 2026 · U.S. brokerage research
Understand what a broker offers, what it costs and what remains your responsibility.
This directory brings together InvestPips’ broker research. The pages use published U.S. pricing, account documentation and risk disclosures. They are designed to help you ask better questions—not to name a universal winner or promise a trading outcome.
Provider schedules, support materials and regulator explanations.
We have not benchmarked executions, outages or customer support.

What a useful comparison should establish

| Question | Evidence to look for |
|---|---|
| What can I trade? | Published strategy permissions and account eligibility—not an assumption based on the app’s screenshots. |
| What will it cost? | The actual product’s fee schedule, contract quantities, opening and closing charges, exceptions and account services. |
| What happens when something goes wrong? | Written expiration, assignment, liquidation, support and account-restriction policies. |
| How was this assessed? | A dated explanation of research versus testing, with links that support the claims. |
| What is still unknown? | Unmeasured usability, fill quality and service performance; account-specific approval outcomes. |
Why there are no star ratings
A number such as 8.5 out of 10 looks precise but is not useful without a reproducible scoring method and evidence behind each score. These rebuilt pages do not have that test dataset, so they do not award numerical scores or claim that one broker delivers the fastest fills.
Published platform features are not the same as tested results. We distinguish a documented term from an editorial inference, and we keep a material limitation next to the claim it qualifies.
A broker can approve a strategy that is still unsuitable for you
Options are complex and can produce significant losses. Read FINRA’s options overview and the required options disclosure before considering a trade. Approval is not a guarantee of suitability or success.
How to use these pages
- Identify your account type and intended product.
- Read the relevant guide and its source-check date.
- Open the provider’s current source documents and resolve any conflicting terms directly.
- Keep unknowns visible. Do not turn an unverified feature into a reason to deposit money.
How this guide was researched
Updated October 3, 2026 using the linked U.S. provider documents and investor-protection resources. This is a public-document review, not a hands-on account test. We have not measured fill quality, support response times or app usability, and do not assign star ratings. Provider pages are evidence of stated terms—not independent proof of performance.
Broker links on this page are direct information links without referral codes. InvestPips displays advertising elsewhere on the site; ads are separate from this comparison. Check current terms before acting. Read our editorial and advertising notes.
What changed in this update
Replaced the 2025 review directory’s unsupported execution-testing implications with an explicit public-document methodology. Added descriptive links to the rebuilt comparison and provider pages. The existing URL and original publication date were retained.
